DRAFT — pre-launch working copy, not yet reviewed by counsel
AI Policy
Last updated: August 12, 2026 (draft)
Mostrel exists to show what people make. That premise decides everything on this page: we like AI as a tool in a maker’s hands, and we have no interest in hosting what it produces on its own.
AI as a tool
Using AI to work faster is fine — normal, even. Drafting with an assistant, roughing out a first pass you then rework, letting a model handle the tedious parts of a project you direct: that’s your process, and your process is your business. The test is not whether AI touched the work. It’s whether the work is yours — you conceived it, you shaped it, you can speak to it, and you’d put your name on it with the tool out of the room.
What doesn’t belong here
A portfolio of work nobody made isn’t a portfolio. Pages whose substance is mass-generated content presented as a body of work — image dumps straight from a prompt, essays nobody wrote, repositories of generated filler — don’t belong on Mostrel. We won’t audit your workflow, and we won’t play gotcha over which tools you used; the line is originality, and honesty about it. But a page that amounts to “a model made this and I pressed publish” is outside what this service is for, and we may unpublish it under the acceptable-use rules in the Terms.
Mostrel is used by humans
Accounts are for people. Signing up, building a page, and publishing are things a person does — not a bot, a script, or an AI agent operating the service on its own. Automated account creation and agent-driven use of the product aren’t supported, and accounts that exist for it may be removed. The line here is the same shape as above: an assistant helping you while you use Mostrel is fine; an agent using Mostrel instead of you is not.
How Mostrel itself uses AI
Sparingly, and never as a judge of your work. Automated classifiers help triage uploads and reports for moderation — they flag things for a person to look at, and a human makes every removal decision (see the Terms). We don’t use AI to rank, feature, or score portfolios, and we never generate content into your page that you didn’t put there.
Your work and AI training
We don’t use your content to train AI models, and we don’t license or sell it to anyone else for that purpose. Your page is published so people can see your work — that’s the whole arrangement.
(draft note: stance on third-party AI crawlers — robots.txt directives and what to do about scrapers that ignore them — is still being decided)
Changes
This policy will change as the tools change. Material changes are announced the same way as changes to the Terms — by email, before they take effect.
